Event: Tales of the Arabian Nights

Tales of the Arabian Nights shed light on the Islamic culture through Arabian folk tales

This event was important to me because I didn't know much about the Arabian culture outside of people that practice Islam. From this play, I saw that despite different ways of dress and musical instruments the quest for love and the grief of loss are universal. I think the best way to learn is through storytelling. Everything we know about this past is dependent on the story we have heard. In the US I think there is a negative stigma towards people who practice Islam, performances like these give a fresh perspective.
